Happy New Year, Morelle. I love your presents, I wouldn't want to eat them either. May this New Year bring you all you wish yourself.xx

Thank you Anon! I wish you all the very best for 2016 too.
Answer 1: Don't. Varnish them and use them as Xmas decorations next year!

Answer Two: Chopin?

Yay Solitary Walker, your answer for Q 2 is correct!

But sadly, not for Q 1. A good guess though! It was actually a bit of a trick question, framed to look like a rhetorical question. The answer turned out to be - photograph them quickly, so their beauty will be remembered, and then eat them right away :)
I like your answer. It's both aesthetic and practical, spiritual and corporeal. A kind of Zen koan on the transience of beauty and the demands of appetite ;)

A Zen koan! That's quite a compliment. But the transience of everything is something I consider quite a bit these days - not in a bad way. I've just started on a mammoth clear out, it's liberating - releasing the past... and enjoying the biscuits!
A lovely gift, asking to be eaten!

Exactly Ruby! At first I thought - too beautiful to eat, then I thought - too beautiful not to!
